Fluoride Application Course (828 IAC 6-1-1 Caries prevention)
Nine (9) hours of didactic instruction covering the following subjects:
- Ethics and Jurisprudence.
- Reasons for fluoride.
- Systemic fluoride.
- Topical fluoride.
- Toxicity of fluoride.
- Fluoride application.
- Infection control.
Additionally, engage in two (2) hours of laboratory work, including practice on a mannequin and two (2) live patients, focusing on topical fluoride applications. While demonstrating clinical competency on a minimum of five (5) patients. “
